Comentario del Apartament Conde Güell 1*

My husband and I were recently guests at the hostal Conde Güell for 5 nights during our trip around Barcelona. We did our own research before deciding where to stay and your website is beautifully presented with wonderful photos of the hostal and there are several positive reviews on the web which helped us make our final choice and decision. We felt confident that in choosing a hostal which came highly praised from well your website and it's reviews online, was sure to be the holidays we were hoping for. The room (120) was located at the back of the building and next to the common toilet which meant that we heard when other guests were having shower and flushing the loo until all hours of the night. The room itself looked clean however after the first night, I woke up the morning of September 26th, 2017 with 3 bites on my right hand. Hoping it was a mosquito, I went back and searched the bed I had just slept in and I noticed the mattress got several covers. During the day my ankles, calf, back, arms and hands started itching and the bites became visibles, I spoke with the receptionist and showed her the bites and she assure was a tiger mosquito because of the plants outside room. We complained and were assured that we would be moved into another room, on Thursday 28 we were moved to the room (103). We went to the pharmacy near the hostal and the pharmacist immediately recognise they were bites of bed bugs. I spent our holidays suffering with the itching during the day and during the night I could not sleep at all. The entire experience ruined our entire holidays and we will never be going back to your hostal or recommending it to any of our friends.
