Comentario del Radisson Diamond Barranquilla 4*

We arrived here at 3am after a delayed flight, extremely tired and in need of a good rest. We were offered a late checkout (2-3pm) which was very nice considering the situation. We went up to our room 1504 and looked forward to sleeping in. However, around 6am the wind was blowing so hard that it entered the room through a gap in the window (poor sealing) that could not be closed despite our best efforts. This caused the shade to flap around making a disturbing noise and allowing sunlight to enter the room. We tried our best to sleep through it but it was impossible, especially once 7:30 rolled around and the house keepers were shouting to each other in the hallway and applying industrial cleaning supplies right outside the door which filled our entire room with their smell. At this point we decided to call the front desk and try to find a solution, only to discover that the room's phone was not in function. Great. Finally we decided to just go downstairs for breakfast then speak with the manager. The breakfast was quite good, however our experience reporting what happened was not so positive. The female manager was at least polite and offered changing us to a larger, quieter room where we could stay until 4pm. However considering that we needed the daytime to do things in town, offering another night in a different room would have been the most just solution. She called her supervisor who we waited for 20 minutes to arrive. He approached us with a bad attitude, questioned our story, told us they never get complaints like that and demeaningly said he could offer us a little juice for the inconvenience. Needless to say we were not happy with our experience here and would not return in the future. It's a shame because there are some positive elements to this place, but the whole point of booking a nicer hotel was to get a good rest, which they certainly did not facilitate in this case. ~~~ Llegamos aquí a las 3 a. M. Después de un vuelo retrasado, extremadamente cansado y con necesidad de un buen descanso. Nos ofrecieron un check out tarde (2-3pm) que era muy bueno teniendo en cuenta la situación. Subimos a nuestra habitación 1504 y esperábamos dormir allí. Sin embargo, alrededor de las 6 de la mañana soplaba el viento tan fuerte que entró a la habitación a través de un hueco en la ventana (sellado deficiente) que no se pudo cerrar a pesar de nuestros mejores esfuerzos. Esto causó que la cortina se agitara alrededor haciendo un ruido molesto y permitiendo que la luz del sol entre a la habitación. Hicimos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para dormir, pero fue imposible, especialmente una vez que las 7:30 se dieron la vuelta para el aseo y gritaban en el pasillo aplicando productos de limpieza industrial justo afuera de la puerta que llenaba nuestra habitación de un intenso olor. En este punto, decidimos llamar a la recepción e intentar encontrar una solución, y descubrimos que el teléfono de la habitación no estaba funcionando. Finalmente, decidimos ir abajo para desayunar y luego hablar con el gerente. El desayuno fue bastante bueno, sin embargo nuestra experiencia informando lo sucedido no fue tan positiva. La directora era al menos amable y nos ofreció cambiarnos a una habitación más grande y tranquila donde pudiéramos quedarnos hasta las 4 p. M. Sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta que necesitábamos el día para hacer cosas en la ciudad, ofrecer otra noche en una habitación diferente hubiera sido la solución más justa. Llamó a su supervisor a quien esperábamos durante 20 minutos para llegar. Se nos acercó con una mala actitud, cuestionó nuestra historia, nos dijo que nunca recibían quejas como esa y dijo, de manera despectiva, que podía ofrecernos un juguito por las molestias. No hace falta decir que no estábamos contentos con nuestra experiencia aquí y que no volveríamos en el futuro. Es una pena porque hay algunos elementos positivos en este lugar, pero el objetivo de reservar un hotel más agradable fue descansar bien, lo que ciertamente no facilitó en este caso.
