Comentario del Iberostar Selection Anthelia 5*

Napoleon allegedly said: "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake" The location of this hotel is perfect, the food is top quality and well prepared, the staff are friendly and polite, the spa is great, the adult swimming pools are divine and the kid's club well organised with a really nice pool for them in a special contained area. Why only the 3 star vote then? The rooms have recently (2017) undergone restructuring work. They are now smaller. This is where Napoleon becomes relevant if you are one of Anthelia's many competitors. I don't know who on earth designed (if any design was ever done) the new rooms but they are very far from what you would expect form a 5 star luxury hotel. When you walk into the room, you find yourself standing in the bathroom, literally. On the right, you have the wash basins, with a stool under the work surface from which the towels hang. After having a shower in the very large and beautifully illuminated walk-in shower, you have to dry yourself in the passage next to the entrance door. The toilet is a separate cubicle reminiscent to the ones you find in public toilets: small, grey and with no lock on the door, literally, there is no lock on the door by "design". Napoleón supuestamente dijo: "No interrumpas a tu enemigo mientras comete un error" La ubicación de este hotel es perfecta, la comida es de primera calidad y bien preparada, el personal es amable y educado, el spa es genial, las piscinas para adultos son estupendas y el club de niños bien organizado con una piscina muy agradable para ellos en una zona especial. Entonces, ¿Por qué el voto de solo 3 estrellas? Las habitaciones han sido recientemente (2017) reformadas. Ahora son más pequeñas. Aquí es donde Napoleón toma relevancia si se es uno de los muchos competidores del Anthelia. No sé quién diseñó (si es que algún diseño tuvo lugar) las nuevas habitaciones pero están muy lejos de lo que se puede esperar de un hotel de 5 estrellas lujo. Cuando entras en la habitación, te encuentras en el cuarto de baño, literalmente. A la derecha, están los lavabos, con un taburete debajo del poyo del cual cuelgan las toallas. Después de ducharte en la enorme y bellamente iluminada ducha, te tienes que secar en el pasillo junto a la puerta de entrada. El inodoro es un cubículo separado que recuerda a los que se encuentran en los baños públicos: pequeño, gris y sin cerradura en la puerta, literalmente, no hay cerradura en la puerta por "diseño".
